Let's get personal.....

 

 

I have lived in wonderful Grande Prairie since January of 2005 after transferring with my job from Vancouver BC.  Over the years, Grande Prairie has become my home of choice due to it's many attributes - among them sense of community, an ever-growing economy, and the opportunity for most any individual to excel and prosper professionally.  I am lucky to share my home with my husband Paul, our pooch Hank, and many friends and neighbors we have met since moving to our community.

 

I was born and raised in Vancouver BC, and began my financial career while living in Nelson BC with RBC Royal Bank in January of 2001.  Over the years I held many positions within the bank, encompassing basic banking, fraud detection, mortgages, lending and investment.  In October of 2005 I accepted a position with Scotiabank and continued my career there as a Senior Personal Banker.  Our market here in Grande Prairie is a booming one, so, in June of 2007 I decided to make the move into the role of Mortgage Specialist, and focus on my favorite part of my career to date:  mortgages.  I haven't looked back since.  Working with TMG The Mortgage Group for almost four years, and now currently with Mortgage Intelligence, I've gained much experience. I must admit I enjoy every day working in our positive and friendly office, and the opportunity of working with my clients on a more personal and individual level than ever before.  Hey, it's pretty exciting to help people make  home ownership a reality, something I consider one of life's biggest milestones.

 

I am an active member of our community, as I believe your community is a direct reflection of what you put into it.   I am a proud member of our Grande Prairie Chamber of Commerce; am a board member for Grande Prairie Roller Derby Association, EWI (Executive Women International); and sat as secretary for a year term with Rotaract - a sector of our city's Rotary.  Through these groups I have privvy to what's going on in our city, meet fellow business people, and donate the time I can to community fundraising and events.  Let me tell you - I've met many, many fantastic people that make our city what it is today through tireless hard work, time and dedication.  Check out upcoming dates and events happening in our community in my Mortgage Blog as I post them, and hopefully I'll see you there!
